If you are looking to stock up on a self-defense quality cartridge for your .380 Auto pistol, this case of ammo from Federal Premium has exactly what you are looking for. These Federal Premium rounds feature a durable, Boxer-primed nickel plated brass casing that carries a 99 grain jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullet. The shape of the bullet's nose profile is designed to avoid feeding problems that can occur with hollow point rounds, so you can be confident your defensive weapon will fire properly every time.

When Federal Premium introduced their Personal Defense HST line in 2002, they were trying to meet demand from government and law enforcement agencies for a round with increased expansion that didn’t sacrifice penetration. Federal achieved this difficult proposition by notching the tip of the bullet, causing it to expand in a six-pointed “star” shape. This increases the diameter of a wound channel while cutting down on the resistance the bullet faces after expansion.

The .380 Auto (also known as .380 ACP and 9mm Browning) was designed by John Browning himself and released in 1908 for use in the Colt Model 1908. It remains a popular self-defense cartridge to this day and is commonly used in compact pistols intended for concealed carry.
