Finocchi. It’s Italian for fennel, a member of the carrot family that’s delicious in soups and salads. But you don’t care about soups and salads. Or maybe you do, but you didn’t come to Lucky Gunner because you’re hungry. You came here for 357 Magnum self-defense ammunition, which means you want Fiocchi!

This cartridge’s 148 grain jacketed hollow point is all business. Once the nonmagnetic JHP’s nose cavity swallows up enough pressurized soft tissue, it forces the surrounding notched jacket to split apart in a display of extremely harmful terminal expansion. The JHP’s copper-alloy jacket is quite tough in spite of its rim’s symmetrical notches, and therefore helps the bullet remain intact enough to plow deeply into the target. The jacket also includes a toothed cannelure that keeps the bullet securely planted in the case mouth during recoil, so it won’t creep out and interfere with rotation of the cylinder.

Whether you keep this ammo ready for personal protection – or use it for target practice, or hunting with a lever-action rifle – you’ll approve of Fiocchi’s new brass cases, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and low-residue smokeless propellant. You can’t use this ammo to make soups and salads, but you can use its spent cases to reload your own 357 Mag ammo!
