Description
For rifled bore shotguns only!
“Bigger tip. Bigger Impact.” That’s the promise offered by Winchester’s Deer Season XP Copper Impact label 20 Gauge ammunition, and they deliver on it in full thanks to the Extreme Point Copper Sabot Slug!
This shell’s 3/4 ounce slug is made of solid copper. Forget about leaving a nasty chunk of heavy metal behind in your favorite hunting grounds, or letting toxic slivers spoil your quarry’s delicious venison!
This shell’s .50 caliber projectile receives stabilization from a thin walled plastic sabot, and upon exiting the muzzle at 1,600 fps establishes a 0.199 G1 ballistic coefficient. The slug holds a flat trajectory until it begins to drop steeply at around 125 yards, at which point it still packs over 1,100 ft lbs of buck-stopping energy.
The Extreme Point Copper Sabot Slug has an unusually large polymer tip. This streamlines the projectile to flatten its trajectory, but also acts to trigger massive terminal expansion. A copper slug does a much better job of staying intact than lead, so you can count on your shotgun to treat your buck to a deep, wide wound followed by a nearly instant death.
Winchester’s Deer Season XP Copper Impact line of ammunition showcases the manufacturer’s usual high quality components and loading practices. Like we mentioned above, just make sure you’re ordering this ammo for a rifled bore shotgun!
