Description
An Italian and a Kansan walk into a bar. The Italian turns to the Kansan and says, “Hey, the heck with drinking. Let’s make a fine deer hunting cartridge together instead. Your bullet, my loading knowhow. Whaddya say?” And the Kansan, who already managed to have two drinks while the Italian was talking, agreed.
This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge by Fiocchi features Swift’s Scirocco II Bonded projectile. It’s a flat shooting bullet with its precision molded black polymer tip, graceful secant ogive geometry, and boat tail base that all work hand in hand to reduce in-flight drag. The Scirocco’s base is also comprised of an unusually thick portion of jacket, which acts to prevent deformation under intense pressure.
When it collides with its prey the Scirocco’s tip wedges into the nose cavity it’s seated within, driving the bullet apart to initiate massive expansion. The bullet reliably expands over a wide range of velocities thanks to its progressively tapered pure copper jacket, which is additionally rooted to its lead core via Swift’s proprietary bonding process.
Flat trajectory, consistent expansion, deep wound channel – the gang’s all here. Throw in Fiocchi’s select brass case, snappy Boxer primer, and uniform propellant charge and you’ve got just the kind of ammo your 6.5 CM rifle needs to sing your favorite tune come deer season.
