Description

This 9mm cartridge from Federal’s Syntech Defense line of ammunition features a 138 grain segmented hollow point projectile that is very good for your weapon, but very bad for anything on the receiving end of it. The bullet’s polymer jacket makes it unable to foul a pistol’s bore with lead, and even reduces friction to the extent that it will measurably lengthen your barrel’s lifespan. Federal’s own Catalyst primer is further free of lead, and highly reliable to boot.

This round’s bullet is a hollow point, but it doesn’t stay in one piece during penetration. Rather, its exterior segments break apart from its core, each rocketing more than 6” away in their own separate directions to create three distinct wound channels. The core continues on to penetrate to a depth of at least 12”, and maintains the capacity to do so even for having first broken through thick fabric. This round’s deadly bullet is blue, so you won’t risk mixing it in with your normal range loads.
